Who is slot hopper is necessary when machines accept and pay out coins. It houses the money to pay a player when they win on a machine. Before TITO systems were available, these hoppers would need to be monitored and filled periodically by the casino to ensure that the game could pay out coins when a winning combination would take place. These hoppers also were a space-consuming component inside the machine, taking up valuable real estate. Today, they’re almost obsolete except for at casinos where coins are still accepted by some machines.
